More than 250,000 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the country, the Philippines National Public Health Commission (PNHCC) said on Tuesday.
The number of cases is expected to rise in coming days, with the agency warning that the number of coronas could reach more than 2 million by the end of the month.

The PNHCC is also considering new rules for online gambling sites, as well as for mobile and mobile phone gambling.
It said it will start preparing the country’s online gambling regulatory framework by the middle of the year.
The Philippines is the second largest producer of coronavia-infected coronavirs in the world after South Korea.
The government is trying to reduce the number and spread of coronvirus infections.
Health authorities have identified and contained over 7,000 suspected cases of the virus since the beginning of March, with 2,828 deaths, the PNIHC said in a statement.
It noted that in the past year, the number who died of coronava-related coronaviral complications in hospitals in the capital Manila rose from 1,973 to 2,088, as the number in hospitals rose from 672 to 853.
