Bet365 has announced plans to launch a digital poker service in Australia and New Zealand in 2018, with the company also looking to expand to South Africa.
Bet365 CEO and Founder David Burdett said that while online poker remains the most popular form of online gaming, with more than one billion dollars bet on online poker tournaments in 2018 alone, the growth of the gaming industry had seen it overtake the sports betting industry.
“Online poker is a $10 billion industry and our growth is based on the fact that there are people that actually bet on these sports.
They want to bet on something that’s real,” Mr Burdette said.”
Online poker was once considered to be a niche market, but with the arrival of new technology and the introduction of online poker rooms and games in 2018 the game has rapidly become more popular with poker players around the world.””
In the gambling world, we have the best players on Earth, so the demand for gambling is there.”
Online poker was once considered to be a niche market, but with the arrival of new technology and the introduction of online poker rooms and games in 2018 the game has rapidly become more popular with poker players around the world.
“The way people play online poker now, it’s become a huge opportunity for the online gambling world.
It’s become very mainstream, it has been a really exciting time for the industry, but it’s also become more mainstream,” Mr Pinto said.
Betting is a popular form for sports betting online with some players betting thousands of dollars a day.
“We have seen an incredible amount of interest from people that are playing poker on a daily basis,” Mr Mearns said.
“I think there’s a lot of potential there, but if we want to grow, we’ve got to focus on what we do on the poker side.”
Mr Burdets said that his company had not yet made a decision on where the company would invest in the new online poker business, but that it would focus on developing a range of products and services.
“It’s about creating a platform that we can really monetise, build our brand, make money, and we will grow from that,” Mr Jansen said.
Burdett also said that Bet365 was not interested in buying a sports betting site.
“No, no, no.
I don’t think we would take a sports bet.
We would just build our platform, we would build our services on that platform,” Mr Ville said.
